DIRECTOR, VP
Maya Bullock
Maya Bullock, Director of Operations & Impact, has combined her Master of Urban Design, Bachelor of Psychology and knowledge of community planning, to bring forth focused solutions for diverse inclusion, racial equality and producing affordable housing for upward mobility. Maya’s purpose in life and work experience has always been centered towards helping others. Growing up in Southeast Raleigh around low-income neighborhoods, she experienced the divide and exclusivity within the city. She witnessed firsthand the negative impact limited resources and poor housing had on those in her community. Her passion centers on connectivity, equity and inclusion within housing and economic policies and practices.
Through studying the history of Charlotte, she has come to understand how important it is to invest in low-income communities and work to rebuild, and overcome, what has held back generations of families. Her hope is to help support, advocate, and bring forth upward mobility and positive change within community corridors so that residents can achieve a higher quality of life. Maya has a B.A in Psychology from North Carolina State University and a Master of Urban Design from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
